Research

University of Notre Dame

Human-Centered Computing Intern

In the Summer of 2020, I worked on a team of 5 graduate and undergraduate students to conduct research on automating the college application process. To prepare for this, I completed a certificate in PHP and Python Programming, and I utilized D3, a JavaScript library. Through collaborative programming, we created an application to detect sentiment and key words in college application essays. The subsequent research was transformed into a research paper that is still being developed.

New York University

Undergraduate Researcher

From the Fall of 2019 to the Summer of 2020, I conducted research with an NYU Professor on the prevention of fake news and false information on WhatsApp. I interviewed professionals and researchers who studied the short and long term affects of false information on large populations.

Programmer. Designer. Problem Solver. I am a third-year undergraduate student at Indiana University studying Informatics through the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. I am on track to complete my undergraduate degree and masters degree in Information Systems through the Kelley School of Business in four years. I plan on concentrating in Business Intelligence & Analytics with a co-concentration in Enterprise Systems. My passion for coding has come from being an Undergraduate Instructor for I-210, a python programming course, and an Undergraduate Mentor for I-101, an introduction to HTML, CSS, and Javascript course. I have explored organizations and classes that combined my passions for coding, creating digital content and UX design thinking. In my free time, I enjoy hot yoga, US travel, and stand-up comedy. Feel free to contact me with any questions or opportunities.
